believe it or not. i'm beginning to feel that education is finally useful. i feel the things that i'm learning now are damn applicable to reality. i took an interest to this: "Is the US current account deficit sustainable?" then again, it just means that school is getting difficult and i need to rid myself of all laziness to read the newspapers and my soon-to-be-finished subscription of economist.

long eventful 12 months comes to a close, with even more challenges posed in the coming year. resolution: be focused. there have been many regrets, too many in fact, as a result of distractions. appreciate the people who have worked with me and tolerated my nonsense all these while.
it has been a year of travelling in both asia and europe thailand, indonesia, vietnam, malaysia sweden, belgium, holland, france, spain, italy, switzerland, england and last but not least, turkey(where 3% is in europe and 97% asia) spent a lot of time and money, but nevertheless worth it. most importantly, i have seen snowfall in my life.
i love to do things that i have never done before. (not to forget a traffic fine of $150 and 6 demerit points)

and took my ippt which ended with a stroke of luck and some money. no pictures for that cuz it's a camp after all and they ban cameras. econs camp the next thing on the list, followed by a smux camp don't know when. i keep getting emails, but no mention of the date. guess i am supposed to know

undeniably the best design of the night. the national museum at its very best, and we were there to catch it. gab and i waited for almost an hour before the lights finally came on.
and there was the econs pre-camp dinner, the starringsmu carwash, visitng of my alma mater, and steps rolling down the stairs on her last day of work. eventful day huh. helping cheryl with her og. the pails we used.

yay its over. both mpw presentation and exam it wasn't impressive, but i guess it wasn't that bad either. i can't say i'm elated that it's over, cuz quite obviously i didn't give it my full effort. then again, the lack of interest in the module itself wouldn't have got me far.
came back and realised i had to submit my online application for exchange rosie replied saying that she couldn't help me cuz she was busy but i had already submitted the application, and i had to write a reflection because of it. i guess you may think she's weird, but i guess i see that she really wants me to learn from this? anyway here's what i wrote:
I believe it was my fault that led to the last minute rush and I feel obliged to apologize for submitting the application before you have even agreed to help me on this. This episode has taught me to be very clear of deadlines right from the start of anything that I embark on, and make sure I keep in sight of these dates. I have also learnt the importance of early preparation and making sure that I have met all the necessary requirements. Also, regardless of the urgency, I will not make assumptions and if I were to ask for help, I am obliged to the take the next course of action only upon reply. Essentially, I have learnt not to leave things to the very last minute.
i'm glad she accepted it.
and brian's repsonse was 'Glad to help you, Wen Guang' Thank God. Part of me hopes to go next term, but another part of me says that i should actually wait till year 3. Anyway, if i were to go ahead with my plans of exploring south america after my exchange, going in year 3 would be better cuz i'd finish school in december, which is summer down south. well. i shall think about it IF i get accepted this time round. it's wharton we're talking about after all.

class is freaking boring report's due on thursday and so is the presentation exam's on friday. seriously why did i even bother taking summer term.
ma maison@bugis pretty good food with reasonable ambience. expected more, to be honest should go check out the central outlet next time! caught 21 after dinner, and it was a decent show. way better than zohan/strangers haha actually it makes me want to go to vegas right now i think i'm a sucker for casinos. i'm so deadddd
